  • I need to update today cuz i probably won't have time again any time soon =/ It's been extremely busy since school started... I have school in the morning, and then work in the afternoon, go to gym afterwards. I usualy won't get back till 10ish. well it's good being busy. I still need to be more discipline to myself though...

On the lighter notes, mommy is coming to see me next weekend. Red Sox is in town Monday thru Wednesday too. I have to move one door down sometimes next week too. So much is happening next week!

  • Days in New England are spent with much ease, often involves contemplating of some sort as well as sleeping. it was raining when i first got here, quite annoying. Now it's stopped, this place is beautiful. it's a bit chilly, but it's all good. I am glad my family is going to buy a house and settle down here.

I can't get a ticket to Fenway as the Yankees are coming to town. I mean I can't get one under 100 dollars. I figure I could watch 50 A's games with that much money.

as much as i love Boston, i kinda want to go back to Berkeley. I'd much rather be with friends i don't get to hang out enough than just a place, not saying i dont like to see my family. There is so much to do this summer; i really look forward to it, especially i get to do what i enjoy with much spare time to make it fun and productive summer.

except I need to learn to cook.

  • i had a an amazing time last night at the house cocktail party and alumni dinner. it's classy and fun. met alot alumni. it's really amazing how there was such a bond, an instaneous connection between us and those guys who were 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 years older. they hung out with us like they were in their 20s. some of them could be my gradpa lol. the experience with the alumni made me truly appreciate being young, being in college. i could see their reminiscence of their college years. pretty amazing stuff. i felt i haven't really taken advantage much while i was at it, but then at the same time i know i am here for a good eduation and a good career in the future. it's so hard to balance. =/

anyhow, the dinner was so good, way better than the low-budget food we have every day. i had steak and two deserts lol. it was in falculty club, first time i'd ever been there although i passed by it every day. thank god i didnt drnik much i was able to study for a while afterwards =) so proud of myself hah I also had a student-professor dinner for my department last week. it was fun too =) so many social events lately.

  • ah haven't updated for a while. I have been ok, not too busy nor too relaxing. i bet it's going to pick up very soon. On top of two midterms in about two weeks, I have two big presentation in early May, one for class and the other for research. the latter is especially important. I love challenges and pressure, for that's what I had to deal with all my life. I perform better when the pressure is on. bring it on...

the pledges are having their I-week this week, which reminded myself a year ago except everyone was encouraging this time. i felt these guys were spoiled in a way. I-week was truly memorable. pretty amazing everytime watch the pledges during their I-week. It's a personal growth and maturation for them as well as for me as an inspector. I get a better understanding of  pledge semester every I-week. it's pretty amazing stuff, actually. people don't understand unless they are in a fraternity, especially at Cal. I remember those Stanford frat guys are just way too spoiled. they are nothing like Cal greeks. everything was run by the University whereas we had to chip in ourselves and sack up for the house.
